Intro.
This is an RP blog for Loki -- MCU-inspired and mythological.
I am NOT CANON COMPLIANT. I am, in fact, very canon hostile.
I acknowledge (with regard to MCU Thor and Loki):
Events and characterization of Thor 1Events and (most) characterization of AvengersEvents and (Loki's, but not Thor's) characterization in Dark WorldSome events (verse dependent) and none of the characterization in RagnarokNone of the events in IWNone of the events in EndgameAbsolutely NOTHING having to do with the Loki show. Not a damn thing. I refuse to even acknowledge its existence. Don't test me.
I have been RPing Loki on Tumblr since March 2012 as Silvertonguedgod. That blog is now archived so I can start sort of fresh and get back into the RP game with a clear head.
I have chronic depression. I'm slow to reply, low-activity, and therefore exclusive to mutuals and highly selective. That said, feel free to pitch me ideas! If I'm not following and you want to interact, let me know. That doesn't guarantee an interaction, but it can be helpful to me to know that someone is interested in interacting. I'm very OC friendly (I try to give priority to muses of color, female and Queer muses, and neurodiverse muses) and ship friendly, and love having a variety of different relationships and interactions ranging from deeply romantic to absolutely antagonistic.
Rules.
MINOR godmodding is ok, especially if we have an OOC relationship. Beyond that, please discuss with me first. This blog will touch on adult themes (sex, violence, suicide and suicide ideation, ptsd, etc.). Triggers will be tagged with 'trigger cw.' If you need me to tag something that I haven't, please let me know.I WILL NOT RP certain themes. These include rape, incest (yes, that obviously includes adopted family), and pedophilia. I reserve the right to reject any plot proposal for any reason.I also don't write explicit smut, but that's just because I like... can't. I'll write foreplay up to a point, but then I have to fade to black because I'm literally incapable of writing sexytimes.I WILL NOT write with personal blogs. Starters or sentence memes sent to my character from personal accounts will be immediately deleted (unless they're on behalf of a sideblog).I WILL answer character development questions from any type of blog. Feel absolutely free to ask about characters, verses, relationships, etc.Askbox memes are theoretically open to non-mutuals, but whether or not I answer them will depend on a) the type of ask and b) what kind of mood I'm in. This isn't personal; as I said before, it's to make sure I'm not biting off more than I can chew.I don't accept magic anons (if that's even still a thing?? Idk I feel like I've seen them floating around once in a while, so this is just here to cover my ass).If you're wondering whether or not to turn an ask meme into a thread, DO IT. If I've sent you a meme or responded to yours, I want to RP with you. There are a few specific FCs / types of FCs that I will not write with. These include:
Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange
Tilda Swinton as The Ancient One
Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff
Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Pietro Maximoff
Thanos, full stop.
Odin, under most circumstances
Anime or animated FCs (Anime/animated characters with live action FCs are usually OK)
Whitewashed characters in general (see: Maximoff twins, Ancient One, etc.)
Racist caricatures
"Aged up" characters (that are canonically chronologically locked)
Literally any character from the Loki show. Any of them. I'll block you on sight. I don't care.
There are also a few specific FCs / types of characters that will be insta-blocked:
Underage characters who are being shipped with adults
"Aged-up" underage characters who are being shipped with adults
Grossly whitewashed characters (as in, the creators didn't whitewash but YOU chose to).
As mentioned, this blog is canon divergent when it comes to MCU. My default is that Dark World was the last canon Thor movie, Ragnarok was just bizarre hatefic, and the Loki show is a deeply personal insult to me, specifically, and I'm now honor-bound to challenge the entire production/writing team to a duel for slapping me with a gauntlet in the public square.
That said, I'm willing to incorporate certain elements from Ragnarok in order to interact with characters like Valkyrie and Hela. I'm willing to do a bit of finagling for a fun interaction, I just need to know what's going on ahead of time in order to work out a plot.
Loki
Laufeyjarsonr.

This is Loki, Trickster God of Norse mythology; son of the Jötnar Laufey, his mother, and Farbauti, his father; brother of Byleistr and blood brother of Helblindi, who is Odin; burden of Sigyn's arms; mother of Sleipnir; mother and/or father of Fenrir, Jörmungandr, and Hel; father of Vali and Narvi, sometimes called Nari.
He is the god of rapid change and upheaval, the blazing one that burns away all rot and entropy, the destructive act that makes new growth possible. God of the threshold, of the liminal space, of the people and places that fall In Between.
Welcome him at your own risk.
Frigguson.

This is MCU's Loki, canon divergent following The Dark World. Everything post-Dark World is not part of my characterisation or conceputalisation. Everything Dark World and before you can safely assume to be canon unless we discuss otherwise.
Loki Frigguson has taken a matronymic following his mother's death, both to honour her and further distance himself from Odin. Verse dependent, he may be on Earth, kicking around the cosmos, or on Asgard -- possibly as its ruler, either in secret or as Thor's legitimised heir. I'm fairly flexible in that regard, so we can talk that out if you're interested in one possibility over another.
Mun.
Hi, I'm Eld (they/them).
28 years old, Asexual, Aromantic, Agender. Just A-everything pretty much.
I am a Lokean Heathen and extremely dedicated to Loki as the protector of the underprivileged, underserved, despised, vilified, oppressed, and imprisoned. I've worked with him since around 2012 - which coincidentally was when I started RPing MCU Loki on Tumblr. It was a bit of a chicken/egg situation. In any case, starting the blog made me delve deeply into mythology, which led me to Loki as a deity. I added Loki-as-Deity to my blog I think around 2016, and it's been good for me to have them both and to be able to separate them in my mind and in my writing. Because they are incredibly different people, which is fun to play around with.
I travel a lot (or did), and have lived and worked all over Europe, the US, and Asia. You can follow me on my personal Tumblr, or on Instagram. If we're mutuals, feel free to ask for my Discord!
